At Fisherman Isle, our mission is simple: to bring the authentic taste of Sri Lankan seafood to the UK. For many Sri Lankans and South Asians living abroad, the flavour of freshly caught fish from home is something truly special. We created Fisherman Isle to reconnect people with that taste.

Founded in 2018, Fisherman Isle began with one goal to source high-quality seafood directly from Sri Lanka and make it available to customers across the United Kingdom. What started as a passion for authentic seafood quickly grew into a trusted seafood supplier for both households and restaurants.

Today, we proudly serve the Sri Lankan and South Asian community in the UK, as well as restaurants and seafood lovers who appreciate premium quality fish.

Our Story

Fisherman Isle was founded by Mr. X, who has lived in the UK with his family for many years. Like many people from Sri Lanka, he missed the taste of properly sourced fresh fish that reminded him of home.

Despite living in a country with a large seafood market, finding the right type of fish with the same freshness and quality found in Sri Lanka was a challenge.

This experience sparked the idea for Fisherman Isle.

By building direct relationships with fishing communities back in Sri Lanka, the brand was able to create a reliable supply chain that ensures authentic seafood reaches customers in the UK.

As demand grew, we also expanded our range to include popular fish varieties from India, allowing us to offer an even wider selection of seafood loved by South Asian communities.
